Mary M. Snyder

Southern Shores – Mary M. Snyder, 82, peacefully passed away at home on September 16, 2013.

Born in Hackensack, NJ and a graduate of Douglas College (now Rutgers University), Mary worked as a teacher and assistant librarian in Westfield, NJ before she retired to Southern Shores. She was dedicated to church and family, and enjoyed reading, sewing and crafts of all kinds.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Donn Snyder and children Peggy Bryson, David Snyder and Allen Snyder. Her seven grandchildren include Adam, Andrew, Allyson and Chandler Snyder plus Mary, Amy and Jen Bryson. Mary’s two great-grandchildren are Cole and Robby Snyder.

A memorial service will be held at Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church at 3:00 pm, Saturday, September 21, 2013, 803 W. Kitty Hawk Road, Kitty Hawk, NC 27949. After the ceremony, the family will receive guests at the church.
