Laurence Stanley Kraus

Frisco- Laurence Stanley Kraus, aged 82 passed away in Nags Head on Saturday morning, August 3rd 2013 from complications following a fractured hip.

Laurence was born on March 28th 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio. He is the son of the late Stanley Kraus and Margaret Kraus.

Laurence worked in manufacturing for over 40 years. His avocations were music and equestrian activities. Born into a family of professional musicians, Laurence developed an early love of music that remained with him throughout his life. Together with his late wife Martha, he enjoyed raising and showing horses. A resident of Dare County, North Carolina for the past 20 years he supported a variety of animal welfare and rescue programs.

Laurence is preceded in death by his wife, Martha; his parents, Stanley Kraus and Margaret Kraus; as well as his sister Marie Hrouda.

Laurence is survived by his daughter, Melanie; son, Lawrence; and grand daughters, Jessica and Christina. He leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 11am at Our Lady of the Seas Catholic Church in Buxton, NC.
