Leona J. Eldridge

Nags Head, NC – Leona (Lee) J. Eldridge passed away November 21, 2013.

Born in Washington, DC on July 22, 1933, to Thomas and Dorothy Ragland, Lee was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Lee spent her adult years in Virginia Beach raising her family, prior to living full-time in the Outer Banks for the past decade. Predeceased by her husband of 28 years, Charles P. Eldridge III, Lee is survived by her mother, Dorothy Joseph; her three sons, James E. Eldridge, David N. Eldridge, Barry T. Eldridge and his wife Deanie; her brother, Michael Joseph, and his wife Jeanine; and the joys of her life –  her grandchildren Dana, Aryn, Alison, Emily, and John Eldridge.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of her life. Family visitation will be held Friday, November 29, 7-8:30 PM, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., 2002 Laskin Rd., Virginia Beach. A funeral service will be held at H.D. Oliver on Saturday, November 30, 11 AM, followed by burial at Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association at donations.diabetes.org.
