Kenneth Allen Long

Kenneth Allen Long ( Kenny) 54, of Harbinger, N.C., and formerly of Fountain passed away on Nov. 16th at Sentera Norfolk General Hospital. He was born on March 15, 1958 in Ludington, son of Edward and Edith Vanessa Long.

Kenny attended Mason County Eastern High School. Prior to leaving for N.C., he owned and operated Walhalla Car Co.

Kenneth’s greatest loves were his children and grandchildren. He loved hunting, selling his cars, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father Edward Long, and two brothers; Mike and Frederick.

He is survived by his children Kenneth Allen Long Jr. (Nichole), and Ashley Bacon (Dan). He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Edward John Long (Rosemary), Sue Detwiler (Gary), Linda VanSickle (Alvin), Barb Carlson, Rose Lennox (Robert), Annette Severson (Tom), Vicki Berg (Mike), Brian Long, Jean Long and sister-in-law, Jackie Long. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and aunts.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Village of Fountain Town Hall, Fountain , MI on Dec . 1st, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to Ken’s family for funeral and travel expenses. Memorial contributions can be sent to West Shore Bank in care of the Kenneth Long Memorial Fund, or at Ken’s Life Celebration.
