Joseph Leon Elder, Sr.

Stumpy Point- Joseph Leon Elder, Sr. of Stumpy Point, NC died at his home Saturday March 7, 2020. He was 85 and born in Jefferson County, PA.

Joe leaves his wife, Joyce P. Elder of the Stumpy Point home; three daughters, Roberta Elder Spearot of Havertown, PA, Janice E. Elder of Perkasie, PA, and K. Michelle Eisenhauer (Mark) of Lancaster, PA; four sons Joseph L. Elder, Jr. (Kathleen) of Lebanon, PA, Michael D. Elder also of Lebanon, John D. Elder of Chalfont, PA, and R.Paul Stewart (Jennifer) of Lancaster; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and family friends.

The family is honoring Joe’s wishes for cremation and simplicity- no services are planned. Anyone wishing to honor Joe’s memory is welcome to donate to the Stumpy Point fire House.
