Theodore Allen Scott

August 5, 2026

Theodore Allen Scott, 81, of Aydlett passed away August 5, 2026 at his residence. Ted was born in Norfolk, VA to the late William and Bertha Scott. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Linda; and siblings, Donald, Robert and Paul Scott.

Ted was a Vietnam Veteran and honorably served in the United States Air Force for eight years. After his military service, he had a long career as an electronics engineer. Ted earned a bachelor’s degree from NC State and enjoyed traveling, was a marksman, but most important he was a family man.

Ted is survived by his wife Jean Scott of the residence; children, Bruce Scott and Kathy Fike; siblings, Lois Hill and Richard Scott; and stepsons, Ross Pierce and Scott Mehling. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Joanna, Sarah, Benjamin, William, Christian and Scott Jr.; three great-grandchildren, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Ted’s memorial service is pending at this time, and details will be announced when finalized. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ted’s name may be made to Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org. Please share messages of comfort and support with the Scott family at gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services was entrusted with arrangements.
