James Edgar Moeller
Jim Moeller, age 69, of Southern Shores, NC, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026 in Nags Head. He was born and raised in North Tonawanda, NY. His parents were Edgar and Rosemary Moeller.
Jim was a football player from a young age and was quarterback of his high school team. He excelled in school and upon graduation, he earned an Associate’s Degree in Service Technology from Niagara County Community College.
Jim made a career in commercial/industrial mechanical contracting in Virginia. Last year, he received recognition for 25 years of service with Quality Plus Services based in Petersburg.
He and his wife, Karen married in 1983. They resided in Hampton Roads, then in the Richmond, VA area. Upon retirement, they moved to North Carolina’s Outer Banks. Jim was a proud father of their daughter, Jordan Binks. She, along with her husband Andrew, and Jim’s only grandson, Connor James, reside in the Moseley, VA area. Jim is also survived by his sisters Kathy Brinkley and Ann Gordon.
Jim and Karen enjoyed many trips over the years to Key West. He was an avid reader of history, an aspiring chef, natural athlete, and staunch conservative.
He’ll be remembered for his lifelong love of the Buffalo Bills and as a 2019 Washington Nationals fan; but mostly for his love of family, friends, good food and good times.
A private family gathering in Jim’s honor will take place at a later date.
