James Owen Etheridge

James Owen Etheridge- husband, father, friend, farmer, and long-time public servant and civic leader died of natural causes comfortable and deeply loved June 25, 2026 at his Moyock, NC home. “Owen” as he was best known was 74. The Etheridge family has announced the following funeral arrangements:

Friends and family may view Wednesday July 1, 2026 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints (965 E. Ridge Road in Shawboro, NC.) Owen’s funeral will be held at the church the following day Thursday July 2, 2026 at 11 am. Mr. Frankie Huggins will be the officiant. Friends may greet the family at a reception immediately following the funeral and the interment will be private.
