Beach Funeral home hosts free Death Café Event

Travel enthusiasts and adventurers; join Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. for lunch at an upcoming “Death Café” meeting Thursday May 21, 2026 at 11 AM at Waveriders Coffee & Deli in Nags Head, NC.

The topic of exploration will be “Planning for The Unthinkable: Death Abroad Insurance Protection- International & Domestic Scenarios.” Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. founder and licensed funeral director Courtney N. Gallop will be the hostess of the meeting which will include a delicious complimentary deli offering and beverage.

The featured speaker will be Matthew Hayes a death industry pre-need insurance leader with Funeral Directors Life Company of Abilene, Texas. Mr. Hayes will address the financial realities and issues involved in returning travelers home who have died unexpectedly on international and domestic travel excursions. Mr. Hayes will inform attendees about practical options for protecting families from the emotional and financial consequences of sudden deaths abroad.
