Norma Lee Smith

Norma Lee Smith, 86 went to be with the Lord peacefully April 26, 2026 in Barco, NC.  She was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Grace Browning, and by her cherished son, Greg.

Norma was born and lived most of her life in Ohio. At a young age Norma, earned her nursing credentials. She worked as a registered nurse in Ohio for over 40 years.  For three years, Norma took an assignment attending the royal family of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh.

Norma and her husband have been residents of Currituck County since 2014.  Here, she enjoyed a quiet retirement gardening, fishing, and relaxing.  Survivors include her loving husband Richard Smith of the Powells Point, NC residence; her three children Fred, Sandra, and Walter; her sister, Jennifer and her brother, Tim ; and a host of other relatives near and far.
