Henry Roscoe “Rossie” Beasley

April 10, 2026

Henry Roscoe “Rossie” Beasley was called home by our Heavenly Father April 10, 2026 at his Wanchese, NC home. He was 83 and preceded in death by his beloved wife Martha Ann “Marty” Beasley in 2021, and his parents Henry Beasley and Neva Beasley.

A Dare County native, Rossie was born in Nags Head August 11, 1942.  He spent much of his youth on the water as a mate out of Oregon Inlet.  His ease on the water eventually led Rossie to join the United States Coast Guard from which he would retire after more than 25 years of brave and faithful service.

Eventually Rossie returned to Wanchese to raise his family with Marty. Rossie earned his plumbing credentials and joined the family plumbing business- Beasley Plumbing, which his father founded. Rossie successfully managed the company and grew it to the company it is today.  Henry made God, family, and country the center of his life and will truly be missed by so many.

Rossie is survived by his three children ; Brent Beasley (Christie), Michael Shane Beasley- all of Wanchese, and Melanie Beasley Young (Norman) of Edenton, NC; ten grandchildren, Durand Shane Beasley, Caston Williams (Brandon), Bailey Young, Harrison Young, Christopher Beasley (Alexis), Jeremy Beasley, Ben Bateman (Katie), Lauren Stevenson (Daniel), Merrick Long, Shay Midgette (Charlie); six great-grandchildren Banks, Naomi, Lainey, Brant, Sailor and Cedar; a host of extended family members, his Coastie family, and his lifelong friends and neighbors.

The children are honoring their father’s preference for cremation. Rossie and Marty’s cremated remains will be laid to rest together at Arlington National Cemetery in Northern Virginia.  The ceremony, with full military honors, will be private.  The family’s plans to host a gathering to celebrate Rossie’s life will be announced at a future time.  Please share expressions of sympathy with the Beasley family at gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services was entrusted with arrangements.
