  6. I am so sorry for your loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. We saw Jimmy a couple years ago around Thanksgiving when you all had us over for dinner. I surely did not think that was the last time I would see him on this earth. I wish I had hugged him a bit longer and a bit harder that day. Jimmy was a great guy! We will see him again in heaven. Love you all very much. 🙏🏻❤️

  7. He was larger than life. The last few times I saw him he had a huge grin and just said “it’s so good to see you. You look great” I said you look better and then we’d laugh and he gave me the tightest hugs. I’ll miss you Jimmy you were one of a kind.

Jimmy Lee Chambers

April 3, 2026

Jimmy Lee Chambers Jr., 61, of Manteo, NC, went to be in peace with our Heavenly Father April 3, 2026. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Jim and his brothers, David and Andy.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Cheryl A. Chambers of Manteo; three daughters, Jodie Cochran (Timothy) also of Manteo, Jamie Webb (Justin) of Greensboro, NC, and Amber Differ (Jarrad), of Chesterfield, VA. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Jade and Stormie Cochran and Randi and Matthew Webb; his mother, Betty; and two sisters, Cheryl and Kathy.

Jimmy was a hard-working, loving family man who loved working with his hands.  A brilliant and talented carpenter, Jimmy’s work can still be seen at numerous notable properties all over the outer Banks. For fun, Jimmy loved doing home improvement projects, fishing, whipping up a fabulous homecooked meal, and having a good laugh. He lived for his family every day. He loved them unconditionally.   Jimmy will be forever remembered, cherished, and loved the same way he loved—hard, strong, and unconditionally.

The family’s plans for a celebration of Jimmy’s life are pending at this time.  Please share a message of comfort with the family at gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services was entrusted with arrangements.
