  7. I saw him play Harmonica with Bill Rae and The Crowd one First Friday Down Town Manteo. They played Low Rider and just let him go for it!! I was Blown Away! So Talented!!

Mark Gregory Creef

March 5, 2026

Mark Gregory Creef, 67, best known as “Marky Mark” passed away March 5, 2026 at his Manteo home. Mark was born on July 8, 1958. Everyone said he was a pretty baby. Mark was a free spirit who lived exactly how he wanted and he charmed this little town with the gift of his music. He knew how to enjoy life and will be missed by many.

Mark is receded in death by his parents, Delbert McAdoo Creef and Ruth Gallop Creef. He is survived by his two brothers, Miles Gordon Creef and Murphy Glenn Creef; and his sister, Jennifer Creef Rawls. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and dear friends.
