Angela Barbee Ferrell

January 8, 2026

Angela Barbee Ferrell, 58, of Moyock, passed away on January 8, 2026 after a courageous and graceful journey with cancer.  Born March 22, 1967 to Gwen Gale Manino, and adopted by Bob and Kathy Barbee (all deceased), Angela lived a life guided by her faith in Jesus, resilience, kindness, and love for her family.

A volunteer firefighter for 38 years with Crawford Township Volunteer Fire Department, Angela was also an avid crafter, reader, and pet lover.  Throughout her illness, Angela remained a beacon of strength for her friends and family.

Angela is survived by her husband of 38 years, Kenneth Ferrell, Sr., children Brandy, Amanda (Jessie), and Kenneth (Kassey), and her granddaughter, Gracie.  The family wants to thank Crawford VFD, countless friends and family, and caregivers Becky Mims, Janie Whitlow, and Tammy Glave, for their love and support.

Family and friends may come out and support the family on Wednesday January 14, 2026 from 6-8 p.m. at Crawford VFD at 121 Shawboro Road, Moyock, NC.  A formal firefighter memorial service will follow on Thursday January 15, 2026  at 11 a.m. at the Crawford VFD.  Chaplin James Mims will be officiating the service with assistance from Rev. James Harrington.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made directly to Crawford VFD at the above address.  Please share expressions of sympathy with the Ferrell family at www.gallopfuneralservices.com.  Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. was entrusted with arrangements.
