Joann Foster
On December 5th, 2025, Joann Foster passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at Outer Banks Hospital in North Carolina. Joann was born on August 14th, 1959, in Alexandria, VA.
Joann will be lovingly remembered for the joy and laughter she brought into every room and for the deep, unwavering love she had for her family. She treasured her family’s love as one of life’s greatest and most precious gifts. Joann found happiness in the simple, beautiful moments, feeling the warmth of the sun from a beautiful umbrella’s shade, the sand beneath her feet, the rhythm of music, the freedom of dancing, and the loyal companionship of her beloved dog. Her spirit, warmth, and love will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
She is survived by her siblings: Margie Jane Harold, John Robert Foster, Darlene Foster, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Joann was predeceased by her father, John Byrd Foster, her mother, Betty Jane Foster, and her sister, Donna Jean Simmons.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 20th, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Victory Baptist Church (12650 Aden Road, Nokesville, Virginia 20181). A reception will be held at the church immediately following the service.
