Timothy Paul Schisler
Timothy Paul Schisler passed suddenly and unexpectedly on October 31, 2025. He was the husband and high school sweetheart of Sharon Elizabeth Schisler (neé Waugh); beloved son of George Paul Schisler and Norma Jean Schweiger (neé Ryman) (Christopher); loved son-in-law of the late Edward “Bud” Waugh and Elizabeth “Betty” Waugh (neé Zabel); adored father of Timothy Franklin Schisler (Jennie) and Tiffany Nicole Schisler (Paige); cherished brother of George Schisler (Jennifer) and cherished sister of Stacy Boyd (neè Schisler) (John) and brother-in-law of Cheryl Dively (neé Waugh) (Keith), Jennifer Hyson (neé Waugh), and Michelle Treshman (neé Waugh) (late Rodney).
Tim is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Paul Sommerfeld (Tabitha), Charles Tabeling Jr., Danielle Colletti (neé Johnson) (Derek), Jenna Tabeling, Jessica Lam (neé Schisler) (Mike), Valerie Wagner (neé Boyd) (Scott), and Justin Schisler (Monica) and great nieces and nephews Jackson Sommerfeld, Bentley Sommerfeld, Maverick Sommerfeld, Riley Wagner, Journey Lam, Lydia Dwyer, Mary Jean Wagner, Leif Colletti, Merritt Lam, and Olivia Dwyer. In addition to being loved and adored by his family, he had an abundance of friends, colleagues, and golf playing partners.
A Charismatic, comedic and on occasion brass staple of his community, Tim was loved by all who were blessed to have met him. Born and raised in Maryland, Tim graduated from Parkville High, class of 1983 and has been an avid sport fan and an incredible athlete since childhood. Usually found at his home golf course Nags Head Links with a glass of Woodford Reserve Bourbon, as his furry best friend was aptly named, and in a playful banter with his many, many friends- Tim brought love and laughter to any room he entered. His legacy can be found dominating the plaques and trophies adorning the walls of Nags Head Links but his true legacy was aiding in the games of the next generation of golfers, always pushing them to new successes and giving tips and tricks of the game to anyone willing to listen. There is absolutely nothing he wouldn’t have done for his family and his friends.
Timothy, was a devoted family man and loyal friend; his life was a testament to his commitment to his family and friends. For all who knew him, there is no shortage of hilarious stories that perfectly capture his spirit and the joy he brought to every gathering. His legacy will live on not in words, but in the laughter and cherished memories we will forever share.
Plans for Tim’s celebration of life gathering are pending at this time. Expressions of sympathy are welcome at gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services was entrusted with arrangements.
Condolences
Sharon, Tiffany and Tim, We are shocked and saddened by the passing of Tim. He was a friend and a character for sure. His laughter will always ring when we think of him. So sorry, Carol and Tom Bradlee
My thoughts and prayers are with your family, friends and colleagues. Your Berry/Amcor family will greatly miss you!
I was lucky to work with Tim, as he provided technical support and knowledge to me, and so many of our customers. His expertise, and ability to solve problems was truly appreciated by those people who were in high stress situations. He had a calm and thoughtful demeanor when providing assistance to people who were “not so calm.” Tim had empathy for his coworkers, his customers, and he had a knack for making a funny comment at the right time. I will miss working with him. I’m sure Tim’s family feels a tremendous loss. And feels cheated. I hope your grief will be short, and that all your fun memories of Tim will ease the pain you feel.
We are so sorry to hear of Tim's passing. We always enjoyed his humor and view of life. The Clubhouse won't be the same without his smile.
Mike Reilly and Tim were dear friends and great golf buddies. It was just fun to be in the same room with them after a golf match. (Tim was also well loved - much to his chagrin - by our huge tuxedo cat Harry who wouldn't take no for an answer when looking for a lap to sit on.) I'll always remember Tim with a smile. So very sorry for your loss. Kathy Reilly
Bill and I are shocked and saddened by the passing of Tim. I can’t imagine what you are going through. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May God bless and comfort you and help you through all your hard times. Tim is not dead he is away with God and at total peace. Until we all meet again in Gods time, may all the fun good memories that Tim shared with you bring smiles to you and comfort you. Sending you hugs, prayers , and lots of love . God bless you😘🙏.
My condolences to his family! I know he was loved a lot and will be missed greatly.
I was very sorry to hear of Tim's passing. He was a one of my favorite coworkers at Berry, a really good guy, and he will be missed terribly.
We knew each other back in The early 80’s. I loved his smile and laughter. Timmy,as I knew him, was an adventurous soul. I tried to help him heal from that horrible pool accident. He was such a good soul and found the love of his life in Sharon. He will always remain in my heart. God bless all of you. Amen
