James "Jimmy" Patrick McMahon, age 72, passed away at his home in Barco NC on August 10, 2026. He was born, with his twin brother Tommy, on August 9th, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio to John B. and Violet Padgett McMahon. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death his brothers, Tommy and John McMahon.
Jimmy grew up in Elizabeth City, NC and moved to Manteo after high school. He loved the Outer Banks and spent decades surfing and fishing there. He was retired but had previously been employed by Davis Boat works and Spencer Yachts.
He is survived by two children, John McMahon of Mount Pleasant, TX and Grace McMahon of Springdale, AR; and his brother, Robert McMahon of Currituck NC.

Always enjoyed Jimmy especially across a foosball table in our youth but great memories made working and building boats @ Spencer Yachts. Peace and Love surround all during this time of his pass over the sandbar.
