      Christopher Allan LeVine

      June 30, 2026

Christopher "Chris" Allan LeVine of East Lake, 49, passed away peacefully June 30, 2026 in Craven County, North Carolina after a 12- month fight with stage IV lung cancer. He was born February 28, 1977, in Fairfax, Virginia, to Laura Fuller. Chris was a bright beacon of love and laughter, a lover of all things taco-related, and a man who defined himself not by his accomplishments but by the joy he brought to others.

Chris was known for his signature goatee, his ever-present goofy grin, and his fluency in sarcasm. His love for trivia, beating his wife at Scrabble, and watching the Food Network was only surpassed by his love for his family and fur kids: Waylon, Holly, Goat, and Daffy. Chris' days were often spent at the refuge, taking walks and soaking up the beauty of the world around him, accompanied by his best dog, Waylon.

Chris leaves behind a legacy of laughter and "One Love." His ability to bring light into any room will be remembered by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving spouse, Jennifer LeVine; his mother, Laura Fuller (LeVine); his step-father, John Fuller; his sister-in-law, Emily Snyder; his aunts Linda Sulser (Garlin) and Ilene Rodgers (Tom); his cherished nieces Amber, Kristen, and Victoria; and his many close friends whom he referred to as family.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 1 pm at the Comfort Inn South in Nags Head. In lieu of flowers, donations in Chris' name are welcome at the Cowell Cancer Center or the Outer Banks Relief Foundation.

Chris' life was a testament to the power of love and laughter, a reminder to always find joy in the simple things, and a beacon of light that will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved him. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of all who knew him, a beloved husband, son, step-son, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. Chris' radiant spirit, loving heart, sarcastic humor, and infectious laughter will be dearly missed.

        OUR HISTORY

The Nags Head Chapel and Company Headquarters

        Nags Head Chapel

Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. was founded in Nags Head, NC in 2006 by licensed North Carolina Funeral Director Courtney N. Gallop. This independent, minority and woman-owned start-up funeral home challenged the existing monopoly firm which had sole control of all funeral care, goods, and services provided in Manteo, the Outer Banks, and Currituck County for nearly 100 years.

Finally - someone brought competition into the local funeral industry. As a direct result of Gallop Funeral Services, Inc., local families now have choices, options, alternatives, fairer pricing, flexibility, and a higher level of service in funeral care for their loved ones.

The Barco Memorial Chapel - Currituck

        Barco Chapel

In 2016, Gallop Memorial Chapel was opened in Barco, NC. The spacious, newly remodeled facility is the first and only funeral service-related business ever to locate in Currituck County. The Barco Gallop Memorial Chapel is conveniently located near the Outer Banks, Moyock and Elizabeth City. The elegant yet relaxing chapel interior is welcoming and comfortable for viewings, family gatherings, funerals, and memorial services. Our Barco chapel is perfectly equipped to serve all faiths and families in the county.

Courtney Gallop and the staff at Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. are committed to excellence. We continue to improve, grow, invest, and learn in order to provide the highest level of service for all families entrusted to our care.

        Capital Crematory

        Capital Crematory

In 2011, we built and established Capital Crematory, the first and only crematory ever in Dare County. The crematory supports Gallop Funeral Services and also provides professional cremation services for other funeral homes in the Albemarle area. Having our own local crematory means your loved one's cremation will be handled personally by owners of the funeral home, 100% locally, quickly, and at the best pricing.
