Angelina Paolucci Lowe, 89, passed away October 5, 2026. A longtime resident of the Outer Banks of North Carolina, leaves behind a remarkable legacy of family, creativity, strength, tradition, and community.
Angelina’s story was deeply connected to her Italian heritage and her family’s journey to America through Ellis Island. She carried with her the strength, determination, traditions, and creativity of the generations that came before her, eventually making the Outer Banks of North Carolina her home and becoming part of the fabric of the Nags Head community.
A remarkably talented and creative woman, Angelina was a gifted artist and seamstress. She had the ability to take an idea, a piece of fabric, or an artistic vision and turn it into something beautiful. Her creativity was an important part of who she was, and the things she made became lasting expressions of her talent and love.
Angelina was also a wonderful Italian cook, and the kitchen was another place where her creativity and heritage came alive. The recipes, techniques, and traditions she knew were about far more than preparing a meal — they were a way of sharing her Italian heritage and bringing her family together. She lovingly passed that knowledge and her love of cooking on to her children, ensuring that those traditions will continue for generations to come.
For many years, Angelina was also a dedicated real estate agent, a career that allowed her to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. She took great pride in helping individuals and families find a place to call their own, achieve their desired goals, and fulfill their own piece of the American Dream. It was a fitting calling for a woman whose own family story was rooted in the courage of those who journeyed to America seeking opportunity and a better future. She also showed her care about the community she called home by becoming involved in Nags Head civic life, lending her time and her voice to matters important to local residents. Her involvement reflected the independent spirit and determination with which she lived her life.
Above everything else, Angelina’s greatest legacy is her family. She leaves behind her three sons, Eugene Pio Lowe, Russell Umberto Lowe, and Bryan Armando Lowe, and seven beloved grandchildren: Tori, Ethan, Alexis, Olivia, Scarlett, Cecilia, and Cyrus. Through them, Angelina’s story continues.
Her artwork and creations remain reminders of her talent. Her recipes and family traditions will continue around tables for years to come. The homes and lives she helped shape throughout her real estate career remain part of the community she loved. But her most enduring legacy can be seen in the children and grandchildren who carry pieces of Angelina with them.
May her memory forever remain a part of the Outer Banks she called home — carried on its winds, reflected in its waters, and remembered in the art, traditions, meals, stories, homes, and family she leaves behind.
No services are planned at this time. Please share expressions of sympathy with the family via the online register at www.gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. was entrusted with arrangements.

Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. was founded in Nags Head, NC in 2006 by licensed North Carolina Funeral Director Courtney N. Gallop. This independent, minority and woman-owned start-up funeral home challenged the existing monopoly firm which had sole control of all funeral care, goods, and services provided in Manteo, the Outer Banks, and Currituck County for nearly 100 years.
Finally - someone brought competition into the local funeral industry. As a direct result of Gallop Funeral Services, Inc., local families now have choices, options, alternatives, fairer pricing, flexibility, and a higher level of service in funeral care for their loved ones.

In 2016, Gallop Memorial Chapel was opened in Barco, NC. The spacious, newly remodeled facility is the first and only funeral service-related business ever to locate in Currituck County. The Barco Gallop Memorial Chapel is conveniently located near the Outer Banks, Moyock and Elizabeth City. The elegant yet relaxing chapel interior is welcoming and comfortable for viewings, family gatherings, funerals, and memorial services. Our Barco chapel is perfectly equipped to serve all faiths and families in the county.
Courtney Gallop and the staff at Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. are committed to excellence. We continue to improve, grow, invest, and learn in order to provide the highest level of service for all families entrusted to our care.

In 2011, we built and established Capital Crematory, the first and only crematory ever in Dare County. The crematory supports Gallop Funeral Services and also provides professional cremation services for other funeral homes in the Albemarle area. Having our own local crematory means your loved one's cremation will be handled personally by owners of the funeral home, 100% locally, quickly, and at the best pricing.
