Robert C. Gumm

Kill Devil Hills-  Robert C. Gumm,  born on January 16, 1934 passed away May 21, 2010 at The Outer Banks Hospital in Nags Head, NC. He was a native of Virginia, born in Portsmouth. He was surrounded by his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Debra C. Gumm and sister, Joyce Harrell. He was the son of the late Huger S. Gumm and Lillie Mae Barnes. He is survived by his children; Brigitte Kessler (Steve Kessler), Robert Gumm, Jr. and Lisa Lahm (Chris Lahm), a sister;  Betty Klein, Grandchildren; Amy Puma, Kurt Kessler, Jakob Kessler and Elijah Gumm and Great-Grandchildren Nicole Wyant and Celeste Puma.

Mr. Gumm served his country honorably in both the Navy and Air Force. After his military tenure, he worked in the restaurant and cargo transportation industries. Plans for a private memorial service are pending at this time. Memorial donations may be made to the Colington Fire Department and/or the American Cancer Society.
