Pamela Drew Sylvester

September 8, 2014

Pamela Drew Sylvester, 64, of Manteo passed on Monday, September 8 at Colony Ridge, Nags Head. She was born in Portsmouth, Va. February 8, 1950. She resided on the downtown Manteo waterfront for many years.

She leaves this world behind, her husband Zachary, their pet “Fonzi,” and her two brothers: Steve Drew and his wife Diane, and their triplets, Hope, Perry and Tyler; and Dawson Drew and his wife Nancy.
She was the daughter of Marvin and Dorothy Drew.

She was a good wife and a good friend to so many, always with a smile on her face to “just say hello” to all the people walking by. She loved the water, the sunrises, each morning as she sat overlooking the sound. She had a gentle soul, was soft spoken and a real, kind person.

Services will be held at St. Andrew’s By-the Sea Episcopal Church in Nags Head. The church service will be at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, September 17, with a reception following the service at the home of Margaret Harvey, 349 Airport Road, Manteo, located on the north end of Roanoke Island. (Go toward the Roanoke Island Aquarium, take the second right in the curve onto Harvey Drive, go straight down the dirt road to the log cabin on the soundside
