Nolan Patrick Leonard
Kitty Hawk- Nolan Patrick Leonard of Kitty Hawk succumbed to illness unexpectedly Friday March 7, 2008 at a Virginia Beach Hospital. He was 19 years old. Nolan was the son of Charles Patrick Leonard and Kelly Amanda Kenna of Kitty Hawk. He was the grandson of Carl and Kerry Bradshaw, Jr. of Kitty Hawk, and the late William and Shirley Leonard of Kill Devil Hills.
Nolan will be remembered as a hardworking and busy young man who was focused on his future plans. Recently, he was proud to have earned his high school GED. While accomplishing that goal, he was employed by many local businesses including Seamark Foods and First Class Marine Construction. Nolan was a skilled mechanic and worked for his uncle at Outer Banks Automotive. He also worked in carpentry over the years and most recently worked as a landscaper for Southern Scapes. When he had spare time, Nolan loved spending it with his sister and brothers whom he adored, and going to the movies.
Left to cherish Nolan’s memory is his mother Kelly Kenna, his father, Charles Leonard, his brothers C. Elliot Bradshaw, and Wyatt Bradshaw, and Warren Leonard; his sister Zoe Leonard, his grandparents Carl and Kerry Bradshaw of all of Kitty Hawk, and host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
The family is holding a celebration of Nolan’s life Tuesday March 11, 2008 at 3 O’clock in the afternoon at Ocean View Baptist Church. Pastor Steve Siegrist will officiate. A reception will follow in the Ocean View fellowship hall.
