Lindsey E. Bowser

Manteo – Lindsey E. Bowser of California Lane departed this life on Sunday, March 30, 2014.  He was a member of Haven Creek Missionary Baptist Church.  He retired from the U.S. Coast Guard and National Park Service.

He was born in Manteo, NC on January 20, 1936 to the late William Foster and Elnora Bowser.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Cecil Bowser and two sisters, Amanda Meekins and Pauline Simmons.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Arvilla Tillett Bowser of the home, a host of nieces, nephews, and other family friends.

The funeral will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Haven Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Manteo, NC. Committal will follow immediately after at Haven Creek cemetery.  Friends may view one hour prior. Gallop Funeral Services Inc. are entrusted with the arrangements.
