Joyce F. Poarch

Colington – Joyce F. Poarch, 74, died December 8, 2014 at her home after a long illness.  Joyce was born March 4, 1940 in Hopewell, VA. She was employed for nearly 30 years with the United States Postal Service. After retiring, Joyce spent her time enjoying her family, pets and the waters of Colington.

Joyce is survived by her husband, William Poarch of Colington; three sons, John and Ronald Norwood of CA, and Kevin Norwood of VA; and sister, Hazel Lunsford of VA.

In accordance with Joyce’s wishes, no memorial services are planned.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joyce’s name to the Dare County SPCA.
