Jack Gilbert Tillett Jr.

Wanchese- Jack Gilbert Tillett Jr., 62 of Wanchese, NC and Chesapeake, VA passed away at his residence Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Born in Wanchese, NC, Jack was a retired Tillett Oil Transport Inc. boat and oil tanker captain for 27 years.

Jack is survived by his mother, Pollie Tillett of Chesapeake, VA, wife Diane V. Tillett, sisters; Vonda Michaels and husband Vernon, Paula Magruder and husband Larry and Eva Tillett and husband Bruce of Chesapeake, VA. Also surviving Jack are seven children; Tobi Abbott and husband Billy, Kydd Damon Tillett and wife Dana, Jerrett Ross Tillett , Darreen Banks Tillett, Erin Dorreen Tillett, David Brent Tillett and Dylan Storm Tillett, seven grandchildren and two more arriving soon.

Jack was predeceased by his father Jack Gilbert Tillett Sr., his sister, Sharon Garner, and his brother, David Wayne Tillett.

A brief committal ceremony will be held at the Tillett Cemetery, Saturday, February 9th at 2 pm. Friends and family are welcome.
