Elizabeth Dickinson Felty

Nags Head – Elizabeth Dickinson Felty passed away July 18th, 2014 at the age of 84 with her family by her side in Nags Head, NC. Betty as she was known to her family and friends was born August 23rd, 1929 in North Wales Pa. to Harry B. and Ethel Whitaker Dickinson.

Betty was preceded in death by her brother Jack, her parents, and her devoted husband of 57 years Harry F. Felty, III.

Betty is survived by daughter Diane Wilson(John), her son Wayne Felty (Ruth), grandchildren Amanda Hildreth (Michael) Sarah Wilson, Alysha Felty, and Nicholas Felty, and two great granddaughters Ava and Cora Lech.

Betty grew up in Woodbury, NJ. She graduated from Woodbury High School , attended Mary Washington College, and graduated with her Bachelors Degree from Beaver College. Betty taught home economics for the West Deptford School District until her retirement in 1985. She enjoyed many exciting travels and summers at the NJ shore during her retirement years with her husband Harry. Betty was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be lovingly remembered and very missed by her family and friends.

A private Memorial Service was attended by her immediate family. Memorial contributions may be made to Dare County Hospice, 109 Exeter St. Manteo, NC or Kemble United Memorial Methodist Church in Woodbury, NJ.
