Elizabeth Ann Gatlin

Elizabeth City- Elizabeth Ann Gatlin, 74 passed away peacefully in Virginia Beach after an extended illness. Elizabeth was originally from Elizabeth City and known as “Miss Ann.” She was predeceased by her parents,  Joseph and Bertha Baker; her daughter Deborah McCluster; and her sister, Linda Baker.

Miss Ann was a loving wife and mother who took great pride and joy in her home. She loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.  Miss Ann flowered into a true woman of God.

Left to mourn is her daughter Rendy Piland (Robert) of Pt. Harbor, NC; four brothers, Grey Baker, Joe Baker, Bernie Baker and Ricky Baker- all of North Carolina; four grand-children, Lelia Sherman, Jessica McQuaid, Billy Don Gatlin, and Amber Gatlin; one great-grandson, James McQuaid; and numerous extended family members and friends.

The family will hold a memorial celebration at the Bivens’ residence Sunday October 5, 2014 at 1 pm.
