Barton Patrick Murray

July 7, 2023

The family has postponed the paddle-out honoring Barton Murray until further notice.

In the gentle embrace of sorrow’s twilight, we bid farewell to a soul who touched our lives with boundless love and unwavering grace. It is with heavy hearts that we gather to celebrate the extraordinary life of a remarkable man, whose radiant spirit illuminated the world around him.

Born on November 12, 1966, Barton Patrick Murray graced this earthly realm with an essence that transcended time and left an indelible mark upon our souls. His journey, though all too brief, was filled with a tapestry of moments that shimmered with joy, tenderness, and profound meaning.

A beacon of strength, compassion, and unwavering devotion, Bart breathed life into every endeavor he undertook. With a heart that knew no boundaries, he embraced the beauty of human connection and showered those fortunate enough to know him with his radiant affection. His smile, a kaleidoscope of warmth and joy, could brighten even the darkest of days, reminding us that love’s light endures, even in the face of adversity.

Whether he was gracing the world with his artistic talents, pioneering groundbreaking ideas, or lending a comforting hand to those in need, Bart moved through life with an unwavering spirit of innovation and creativity. His accomplishments stand as a testament to his unwavering dedication and his ability to breathe life into the dreams that danced within his soul.

Yet beyond the accolades and achievements that adorned his path, Bart’s truest legacy lies in the cherished moments he shared with his loved ones. The echoes of his laughter still resonate in our hearts, a sweet symphony that lingers, reminding us of the joy we were blessed to experience in his presence. His love, an ethereal melody that continues to play, serves as a gentle reminder that love’s melody transcends the confines of time and space.

As we navigate the uncharted seas of grief, we find solace in the knowledge that Bart has embarked upon a new voyage, one where pain and suffering are but distant memories. In the quiet whispers of nature’s embrace, we shall forever hold his spirit, finding comfort in the ethereal beauty that surrounds us.

He joins his parents Mike and Pat Murray who preceded him in death and leaves behind a legacy woven from the threads of love and remembrance. Bart will be profoundly missed by his beloved wife, Jana; daughter, Chloe; sons, Quade and Marlon; brother, Bryan and his wife Joanie; his maternal uncle, Mick Bowman and aunt Margy Bowman; as well as his paternal uncle Ian Murray and many cousins who all find solace in knowing that his love forever resides within their hearts.

May we carry his cherished memories like a beacon in our own lives, illuminating the path ahead with kindness, compassion, and the unwavering love that he instilled in us. As we bid farewell to a beloved soul, let us honor his memory by living each day with the same boundless love and zest for life that he so effortlessly embodied.

Rest peacefully, dear Bart, knowing that your light will forever guide us through the darkest nights until we meet again amidst the stars.
