Susan Marie Estrada

November 20, 2022

Susan Marie Estrada, age 70, of Grandy, NC died on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Chesapeake General hospital. Born in Columbus, Ohio to the late George Hussey and Mary Bailes Hussey. She was a stay at home mom but also worked in her early years as a substitute school teacher. She was a member of Poplar Branch Baptist Church. She loved Jesus, Sunday School and all of her church family. She was the most kind, sweet, and caring person to everyone. She welcomed everyone with love.

Susan is survived by her husband of 42 years, Emilio Alberto Estrada; two sons, Emilio Estrada and wife Khadi Estrada of Grandy, NC, Matthew Estrada and wife Chevelle Estrada of Jarvisburg, NC; a daughter, Erlinda Estrada of Grandy, NC; and her brother David Hussey of Eureka Springs, AR.  Also surviving are three grandchildren, Erik Snyder, Dylan Snyder and Alyssa Estrada. Susan was preceded in death by her her daughter Elizabeth Estrada.

The funeral will be held Friday, November 25, 2022 at 6 pm at Poplar Branch Baptist Church. Friends and family may view two hours prior at 4 pm. Floral pieces will be received at the church.  Condolences may be shared at gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. was entrusted with arrangements.
