Steven Craig Stewart, Jr.

Manteo and North Charleston, SC- Steven Craig Stewart, Jr. died tragically Friday July 26, 2013 in Manteo. He was 26. Craig, as he was known by those who loved him, was born in Durham, NC August 9, 1986. He had relocated recently to Manteo from South Carolina to restart his life surrounded by the love and support of his family.

Craig lived his life as a free spirit. He had an infectious energy that touched many lives. Craig will be remembered as a loving and dedicated son, husband, father, brother, and grandson.

Left to mourn Craig is his wife, Elizabeth Morales of North Charleston, SC; two sons, Dominic Stewart ,6, and Donovan Stewart 4, also of N. Charleston; his father, Steven Craig Stewart of Manteo; his mother Nina R. Turley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his brother Jonathan Stewart also of Oklahoma City, Ok; his grandparents, Ron and Alice Stewart of Manteo; his grandmother, Frankie Solomon of Newport News, Virginia, his mother and father-in-law, Celly Craven and Mark Craven of N. Charleston, SC; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members; his church family; and countless loyal friends.

Family and friends will celebrate Craig’s life Tuesday July 30, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Manns Harbor. The Reverend Ken Mann will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family gratefully suggests that memorial donations be made to the Dominic and Donovan Stewart Memorial Fund c/o Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. 6917 South Croatan Highway Nags Head, NC 27959.
