Phyllis McCoy Mattson

Kill Devil Hills- Phyllis McCoy Mattson passed away July 10, 2009 at Norfolk General Hospital surrounded by her family.  Phyllis was born on February 6, 1930 in Richmond, VA. She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and RPI in Richmond.

Phyllis is survived by her three children Becky Fairchild of Virginia Beach, Lynn Exum and her husband Ed from Denver Colorado, and Bobby McCoy and wife Jennifer of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Kimberly Detterman of Knotts Island, North Carolina, Jimmy Arnold of  Denver, and Brent McCoy and his wife Kelli of Kill Devil Hills. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Addison, and one sister Gwen A. Keran of Richmond.

A private family service will be held at a later date in Kill Devil Hills.  In lieu of flowers, please say a prayer for Phyllis, she’ll hear you.  Mom, we miss you so much already, Gods speed.
