Janet Rose (Macfie) Elfers

Nags Head – Janet Rose (Macfie) Elfers passed away in Nags Head February 27, 2016.  Janet was born in Hudson, New Jersey October 11, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and  Mary Macfie. Janet was a registered nurse for many years and resided in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Here in North Carolina Janet and her beloved husband Henry lived peacefully in Manteo.  Janet was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church and bravely battled many serious health challenges in recent years.

For health reasons, Henry and Janet relocated to Nags Head.  Their room quickly became one of the most popular visiting destinations at Colony Ridge/Peak Resources.

Surviving Janet is Henry her cherished and loyal husband and too many family and friends to mention! She was loved by so many and we thank our God every time we remember Janet- also to be remembered as mom, Nana Aunt Janet and “Kitty”.

In her memory please reflect on II Timothy 4:7-8:

“I have fought the good fight.  I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for His appearing.”
