Jane Daniel Fitchett Harvey

Jane Daniel Fitchett Harvey (Jane), 71, of Southern Shores, North Carolina, died December 13, 2012 in her home with her husband of 48 years by her side. Jane was born November 7, 1941, daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Hubert Franklin Fitchett of Danville, Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Martha Fitchett Ray.

In addition to her husband, Robert Coleman Harvey, Sr., she is survived by her twin sister Susan Fitchett Tower of Southern Shores; two sons Robert Coleman Harvey, Jr. and his wife Stacey Phillips Harvey of Atlanta, Georgia and Christopher Stuart Harvey and his wife Kathryn Erskine Harvey of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, and three grandchildren Robert Coleman Harvey, III, Stephen Patrick Harvey, and Alexander Tonnes Harvey.

A retired schoolteacher, Jane was a graduate of Westhampton College of the University of Richmond. Her love of the beach brought her, her husband and her twin sister to Southern Shores. She taught us to live, to love and to laugh, the greatest gifts of all.

A memorial service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, 40 Pintail Trail, Southern Shores, NC 27949, Saturday December 15, 2012 at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully suggests that memorial donations be made to the Southern Shores Volunteer Fire Department, 15 South Dogwood Trail, Southern Shores, NC 27949.
