Irving R. Cohoon, Sr.

Grandy- Irving R. Cohoon, Sr. died Friday February 20, 2015 in Norfolk. He was 78. Irving was born in Elizabeth City, NC. He was the son of the late George Cohoon and Florence Sample Cohoon. Irving was also predeceased by his sister, Helen Ball, and his brother, George Cohoon.

Survivors include; his wife, Gloria Hill Cohoon; his son, Irving Robert “Bobby” Cohoon, Jr.; his daughter, Angela Cohoon; his grand-daughter Alex Cohoon Kight-all of Grandy, NC; several nieces and nephews, and numerous extended family members.

The family will hold a memorial service Tuesday February 24, 2015 at 2 pm at Belvidere-Ryland Church of Christ 307 Ryland Road in Tyner, NC. Friends and family may gather in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Irving’s memory would be gratefully accepted by the American Heart Association.
