Helen Irene Rylott

Nags Head-  Helen Irene Rylott died Saturday January 26, 2008 after a brave battle with illness. She was 64 years old. Helen was born August 23, 1944 in New Brighton, Pennsylvania.  She was the daughter of the late Fred and Alice Mentz and the sister of the late Carol Dorsch and Harry Dorsch.

Helen resided in the Outer Banks for 25 years.  For 19 years she was a valued employee of Twiddy and Company Realty and became a treasured friend of owners, Doug and Sharon Twiddy.

Left to cherish Helen’s memory is her son Gerald E. Rylott  and her grandson Joseph R. Rylott both of Hughesville, Missouri, two nephews; William Dorsch and his family Brandy, Liam, and Xander;  and Christopher Dorsch.  Helen will be missed by her close friends Barb Macuga and family, the family of Esther Dobbins, and the family of Donna St. John all of New Brighton, and Bob and Louise Ferrin of Currituck, and Robert Gray of Nags Head.

The family held a visitation Monday January 28, 2008 from 7 O’clock to 9 O’clock in the evening at the Gallop Funeral Services Chapel in Nags Head.  A graveside funeral mass was held Tuesday January 29, 2008 at 11 O’clock in the morning at Roanoke Island Memorial Gardens in Manteo.  Holy Redeemer Catholic Church Deacon Donald C.
