Dusttany L. Norris Rector
Dusttany L. Norris Rector, 32 of Kill Devils Hills, NC passed away October 3, 2023. She was surrounded by the love of her many family members after a long, courageous battle with Type I Diabetes.
Dusty loved living the beach life (flip flops, shorts, and the ocean breeze). She loved spoiling her fur babies, Diesel and Cruze. Most of all she loved making memories and spending time with her family and friends. Dusty had a beautiful soul and she left a forever impression on anyone she came in contact with.
Dusty sadly leaves behind to carry on her memory and her love; husband of nine years, Tyler Rector; mother and father, Valerie and Robert Norris Jr. of North Carolina; two sisters, Brittany Lumley and Elizabeth Baker both of Ohio; her brother, Robert Norris III also of Ohio; her mother and father-in-law, Robin and Greg Rector of North Carolina; and Dusty’s very best-friend, Ashley Fazenbaker of Ohio. Dusty “The Hurricane” will also be greatly missed by her many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Her love will live on!
Dusty was preceded in death by her grandparents; William and Joyce Brooks, Clarence and Wanda King, and Robert Norris Sr.. Special thank yous go out to the staff at Fresenius Medical Care in Manteo, NC, and the amazing staff of the ICU team at Sentara Virginia Beach Hospital. Our family greatly appreciates all of you!
A Celebration Of Life gathering for Dusty will be held at a future date. Condolences, cards, flowers, etc. are warmly welcome at the Kill Devil Hills residence or in care of Gallop Funeral Services. Please share condolences on-line with the family at www.gallopfuneralservices.com.
