Charlie Preston Davis, Jr.

Wanchese- Charlie Preston Davis, Jr. 52, died suddenly Tuesday June 30, 2009 in Wanchese. “Preston” as he was called by family and friends, was the son of Charlie P. Davis, Sr. of Stoneville, and the late Helen Wheeler Davis. Born September 12, 1956, he was a native of Alamance County, and resided in the Wanchese area since 1982.  After completing his schooling, he worked as a plumbing contractor.  Preston eventually owned his own tractor service called Davis Ventures. Preston was an avid outdoorsman.  He particularly enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.

Surviving Charlie is his wife Donna Davis of Wanchese, one son Zachary Davis also of Wanchese, one sister Cynthia Davis Smith and husband Terry of Stoneville, a host of extended family members and cherished friends.

A celebration of Preston’s life will be held Monday July 6, 2009 at 6 O’clock

in the evening at the Gallop Funeral Services Chapel in Nags Head. In lieu of flowers, the family

suggests that memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice.  Condolences to the family
