Albert F. Hollifield

Nags Head- Albert Franklin Hollifield, passed away peacefully on August 16, of 2024, at the age of 85. Albert was born on June 1, 1939, in Asheville, NC. He was proceeded in death by his parents James Franklin Hollifield and Edna Ward Hollifield as well as his brother, Virgil Hollifield.
Albert is survived by his beloved wife, Lois Hollifield as well as his children Melinda Williams, Allen Hollifield, Amy (Nilesh) Reshamwala, Dana (Melinda) Hicks, and Laura (John) Holly Sirles. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Brandon (Kelsey) Hicks, Wren Williams, Jackson Williams, Miranda (Andrew) Sirles, Sejal Reshamwala and Nik Reshamwala, and five great-grandchildren, whom he adored.
Albert joined the United States Air Force, at 17 years old and honorably served for ten years. He was an active member of the Kitty Hawk United Methodist church. Albert loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. He was exceedingly passionate about fishing, and anything outdoors. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Peak Resources for the gratifying care and kindness that they gave Albert. He was an exceptional, husband, father, Poppy and friend. He will forever be loved and sorely missed.
The memorial service will be held at Sandy Run Park in Kitty Hawk (4343 The Woods Road) Friday August 23, 2024 at 1 pm. Pastor Rob Robinson will officiate and military honors will be rendered by the United States Air Force.
